We are the Skate Rats Kaiserslautern e.V. – a skateboarding club that embodies a passion for skateboarding and skate culture. We’re based in Kaiserslautern (K-town), and we’re committed to supporting young people, promoting diversity and fostering a sense of community.

Our goal is to actively promote skateboarding, create spaces for encounter and creativity for young people, and make skate culture visible. In doing so, we are committed to all generations and cultures.
Skateparks (indoor / outdoor)
Construction, design and maintenance of skateparks and indoor skate venues.
Club grounds
The creation of the club’s own grounds.
Events
Organising events, skateboarding competitions and other community projects.
Membership
Join the Skate Rats and help us shape skate culture in Lautern.
Workshops
Skateboarding lessons for beginners and advanced skaters. Various workshops, such as graffiti or screen printing.

*On Mondays, our club meeting takes place at the skate park on Ludwigstraße.
Our skateboarding training sessions are currently taking place at the Hall of Fame, Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, Schoenstraße 11, 67659 K-town instead.

Skatepark becomes „Youth Square“
We did it! The city council has approved the expansion of our skatepark. A „Youth Square“ is to be created at the corner of Benzinoring/Ludwigstraße – the concept will be drawn up this year.

Volunteer Day – August 30, 2026
With a mobile skatepark and info booth, we were at Volunteer Day at the Fruchthalle, right in the city center. Many interested people dared to get on the board themselves in small training sessions, and some of them signed up right away for our next joint training session!

Finally the time has come: K-town has a brand new skatepark! After a long wait, skateboarders from the region can look forward to a modern place to let off steam. To celebrate the opening, we warmly invite you to take part in our big opening contest on April 30th.
